Welcome to the John, Nic and Jack Bearded Collie ("Beardie") web page.
We have been owned by our Beardie "Jack" since May 1998. He is of the brown and white variety although at the minute he looks more like brown/beige/fawn/grey and white. We bought him when he was only 12 weeks old and relatively small. Today he is nearly 4 stones in weight (58 lbs) and 22 inches from toe to shoulders.
We chose a Beardie because of their playful nature, ability to learn fast and lack of shedding. Nic is allergic to most dog fur but luckily for us Jack's fur seems to be OK. He hasn't moulted at all yet but we expect some loss once his puppy fur turns into his adult coat.
